What to Expect at a New Mosque
- Remove shoes at the entrance and place them in the rack provided
- Perform Wudu if not already in a state of purity
- Men and women pray in separate areas — ask if you are unsure of the layout
- Arrive a few minutes early to pray the tahiyyat al-masjid (greeting prayer)
- Greet with Assalamu Alaykum upon entering
