📖 Qurbani Rules (Fiqh)
Q: Who must perform Qurbani?
Every adult Muslim who possesses Nisab (87.5g gold or 612.4g silver equivalent) on 10th Dhul Hijjah — after paying all basic needs.
Q: Valid animals & minimum age
Goat/Sheep (min 1 year for goat, 6 months for sheep if plump), Cow/Buffalo (min 2 years), Camel (min 5 years). Must be free from major defects.
Q: One share or multiple?
Goat and sheep = 1 person only. Cow, bull, buffalo, and camel = up to 7 persons. All 7 must have sincere intention of worship.
Q: Days of Qurbani
10th, 11th, 12th Dhul Hijjah (Ayyaam al-Nahr). Best time: after Eid prayer on the 10th. Some scholars allow until sunset of the 13th.
Q: Can I send Qurbani abroad?
Yes — permissible according to most scholars, especially if you are in a non-Muslim country. Use a trusted Islamic charity or organisation.
